Comment

Jean Frédéric Ostervald or Johann Friedrich Osterwald (1663 -1747) was a Reformed theologian, preacher, lecturer and author from Neuchâtel. His writings had a great influence, bringing spiritual renewal among Waldensian, Dutch, German, Hungarian and Scandinavian Protestants. His work has been referred to in retrospect as the "Second Reformation".
