https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passerelle_Fournier :Since 1891, the Fournier footbridge has been a steel structure linking the Sanitas and Velpeau districts of Tours, crossing the railway line just south of Tours station.
The 330-meter-long Docteur Fournier footbridge was inaugurated on June 14, 1891 by the minister Yves Guyot. It was named after the then mayor of Tours, who installed it in response to the wishes of local residents, who had been calling for it since 1865 to link neighborhoods that had been separated by the arrival of the rail network.
