Comment
“Italpark Park” was located on the grounds of the former United States of Brazil park, at the intersection of Libertador and Callao avenues, next to what at that time was the Sesquicentennial Exhibition in Buenos Aires.
The park opened in 1960, as part of the exhibition set up for the celebrations of the May Revolution; it had more than 35 games, mostly made by its owners, the Zanón brothers, who named it Italpark in honor of their homeland. The owners and founders of Italpark, the brothers Luis and Adelino Zanón, emigrated from Italy at the end of World War II, losing their job, closing the missile factory that supplied Japan and Germany.
Entrance token: From the beginning in the year 1960 and until the mid-1980s, the Italpark Park minted metallic and plastic tokens of various colors where it said ITALPARK – ZANON HNOS, to later give rise to some coupon books that were already bought or delivered to the general public, employees and their families.
To enter and for the games, you had to acquire these particular and nice tokens that gave the owner the benefit of enjoying each attraction. It is not known for sure, even former park employees doubt, if there was a particular type or color of token for each access and at the time of Italpark's life.
