Kilian Koch was Master Engraver from 1587 to 1632. He made different versions of a token dated 1577 or 1578, well before his appointment.https://www.cgb.fr/perche-francois-duc-dalencon-puis-danjou-brabant-et-comte-de-flandre-francois-de-france-tb,fjt_441824,a.html
François de France, born at Château de Fontainebleau on March 18, 1555 and died at Château-Thierry on June 10, 1584, Duke of Alençon, Anjou, Touraine, Brabant and Château-Thierry, was the last son of Henri II and Catherine de Médicis. A leader of the Malcontent party, François played an important political role in France in the 1570s, stirring up trouble at his brother Henri III's court and taking part in the sixth and seventh Wars of Religion. As part of the war in the Netherlands against Philip II, King of Spain, he was called upon in 1580 to become their new sovereign, but this operation ended in failure (1583). He was also suitor to Queen Elizabeth I of England from 1572 until her death, but the marriage failed to materialize. He died prematurely of tuberculosis in 1584.
