Comment

1926 Adam Pietz Dollar, HK-457, Gilt, 34.9 mm. A fascinating piece that was issued specifically for the 1926 U.S. Sesquicentennial Exposition in Philadelphia. Adam Pietz, the designer, became assistant engraver at the Philadelphia Mint in 1927. Hibler-Kappen (1963) list this issue as "very scarce."
