Comment
Irvine & Jachens, Daly City, CA, struck these pieces using oreide (commercial bronze) as the metal.1915 HK-424 Panama-Pacific Exposition Octagonal Dollar (Slug), The sets of so-called dollars issued for the Pan-Pacific Exposition has to be one of the largest. Very few are in shapes other than round; this is one of those. This is a Type One example, with the design closer to a real fifty dollar slug of the 1850s.
