The token was issued for the 950th anniversary of the mention of the village of KubedLeft incused, right coin with relief:
Kubed lies at an altitude of 240 m, in the extreme north-east of the Šavrin hills, where the flysch and karst world are connected. It is surrounded by the Karst peak of Krašca, which is 272 meters high and on the west side is the flysch back with a summit named Kubejska Varda, measuring 390 meters. Village is about 16 km from Koper. The locals call their place "Čubed". Hill above the village is best known for the preserved part of the medieval fort. It was built by Ulrich of Weimar, as it allowed feudal lords to control the trade routes between the mainland and the coast. On the edge of the hill, on which lies Kubed, stands the medieval church of St. Florian, dating back to 1860. In the vicinity of the church, there is a bell tower from the white stone of the Karst, a five-pointed form, served its defense purpose, as the people here were hiding in front of the Uskoks and Turks, which hit these places in the 15th and 16th century. The pentagonal defense tower was transformed into a bell tower in 1833. (translated from https://sl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kubed)
