The Rochefort Gendarmerie School is under the authority of the French National Gendarmerie School Command.
Its main mission is to provide initial and ongoing training for future non-commissioned officers in the Gendarmerie Nationale's technical and administrative support corps.
It also houses the Centre national de formation aux langues et à l'international and the Centre d'instruction au français de Rochefort.
