Wappakoneta Sanitary Fair Civil War Merchant Token. Fuld-OH905C-1i, R.9. Zinc-plated brass, reeded edge, 22 mm, 4.79 gm. Obverse: MEMENTO / OF THE / SANITARY / FAIR / OF / WAPAKONETA, O. The city is spelled with only one P on this token. Reverse: Eagle perched on drum with flags and arms in background. Pleasing quality with little wear and ample original brilliance. A small area of green debris is observed at the eagle's feet and a minor rim bruise is found at 3 o'clock on the obverse. Otherwise this is an attractive AU55 piece.
