The 2021 IndieLand Challenge Coin was sold to raise money for the Open Hand Foundation, a organization with a mission to provide much needed funding and resources toward researching Dementia.Indieland itself is a annual charity event where Jirard Khalil (also known as The Completionist on Youtube and Twitch) spotlights video games created by independent video game designers to raise money for the Open Hand Foundation.
In 2021, he and his group of friends raised over $113,101.33 for Research. All the money that was made from the sales of the coins, Shirts, water bottles, and more was also given to the charity.
