Cooperation De Werkman was a socialist organisation with a bakery and a food store in Ledeberg, close to Gent. It was founded in June 1883, for 30 years (I don't know how to interpret this, it was taken from the catalog and translated literally from Dutch).
This token is mentioned in footnote #171 in the catalog “Het Huisgeld van de Gentse S.M. VOORUIT Nr. 1” (Andre Despretz, 1982). Year of issue: unknown.
A round token of “ De Werkman", with a denomination of 5 exists.
