In the early 1920s, the Combet couple from Pas de Calais moved to 26 Avenue de Clichy and opened a ball under the name "Elysée Clichy", which in the 1930s became the "Bal du Jardin". Their son took over the management of the establishment from 1944 until it closed in 1983.
