This ballroom-restaurant opened in 1923 on the Île de Charentonneau in Maisons-Alfort, in a country setting with vast reception rooms that attracted a large number of customers. However, by the 1960s, this beautiful setting was no longer in tune with changing customer tastes and habits. Out of fashion like other bals, the Moulin Brûlé was bought by the Val de Marne department in 1974, then by the Maisons-Alfort commune in 1985. It was finally demolished in 1994 and replaced by a modern building used for community meetings.
