The origin of this ball of the 11th district is probably former to 1850, exploited by an Auvergnat. It is from 1923 that Léon Pouyet will take the reins of this establishment baptized the Old ball of the families. Accordionist and cabrettaïre himself he knows well the world of the musette balls. Especially since his father Pierre Alphonse Pouyet managed the ball at the Petit Balcon until 1909. The sign of the Boule Rouge will be used in 1926. On the eve of the Second World War, Pouyet gave up the payment of the dance. He gave the ball to his son Raoul Pouyet in 1968 before it closed its doors in 1980.
