Not listed in either Elie 2003 or Lucien Lariche's "Les Jetons de bal".The "Bal de la Grille" had its origins in 1894, when Mr. Estampes bought the wine merchant and caterer's business to turn it into a bal musette. From 1922 onwards, the new owner, Jacober, would have his name appear on the tokens with the words "Bal de la Grille" or simply with the design of the grid.
