Mirror FinishImage on obverse is based on Rafael Beltranena y Piñol's 1921 painting named "La Mañana" (The Morning) which was part of a series of three paintings: "La Mañana", "La Tarde", "La Noche" which describe the order of events of the day the Constitution was signed.
The most famous painting in the series is "The Morning". This piece shows the Independence heroes in an Extraordinary Meeting, during the early hours of Saturday, September 15, 1821. José Cecilio del Valle, who was asked to write the declaration, and Miguel Larrañaga as secretary, were invited to that meeting.
Medal comes in black plastic case.
