Laidlaw: Agricultural shows were organised by the Society in Pretoria between 1894 and 1899. It is believed that the shows were held during March or April immediately after or before the Rand show in Johannesburg. The shows ceased during and after the Boer war. They recommenced after Union and similar award medal were issue (Laidlaw 0184b)
