Comment
Brown: Specimens of this medal in silver were presented to those officers, seamen and marines who had followed Admiral Jervis from his flagship the 'Victory' to the 'Ville de Paris' and remained loyal to him during the mutiny at the Nore. Seamen received it in bronze. It is often found without a ring for suspension. A specimen in gold was presented to George III and is now in the British Museum.
