Fernand Esch owned a chocolate factory and later a confectionery factory. His business is listed in the late 1920s at 250 rue de Beggen, in the early 1930s in Alzingen and in the late 1940s at 13 rue du Mur in Bonnevoie.
The present token was issued, probably between 1932 and 1936, when he had his chocolate factory on the Route de Thionville in Alzingen.
He had five different tokens minted during this period.
The token with face value 4 is listed in Raymond Weiller's second book, the one with face value 5 was not listed by Weiller.
