Habib Bank Ltd. is a modern Pakistani Banking Company founded in 1941 by the House of Habib (Habib Family), which today is a conglomerate Corporation that was originally founded in 1841. They issued several bullion types, with this example being one of them.
A Tola (Hindi: तोला; Urdu: تولا; Bengali: তোলা; tolā. from Sanskrit: तोलकः; tolaka) is a weight measurement used in South Asia, parts of South East Asia as well as the Middle East and Zanzibar. It is equal to 3/8 troy ounce or 11.663 8038 grams or 180 troy grains. In Aden and Zanzibar, one tola was equivalent to 175.90 troy grains (0.97722222 British tolas, or 11.33980925 grams). It has the weight in South Asia since standardization in 1833.
