Oosterkerk is the church in Hoorn, North Holland in the Netherlands. It was designed in the Gothic style. The church's origins date back to 1450.

In 1978 for support of the coming restoration of this old monument, the Rijks Munt issued special restoration coins. The quantities that should been minted and the issue prices:
- 5 Schelling: approx. 1000 pieces in silver (prooflike), 45 Guilders per piece;
- 1 Schelling: approx. 7500 pieces in copper-nickel (FDC), 6 Guilders per piece.
Orders and reservations could be made by transferring the total amount of desired coins + 6 Guilders (postage) to the bank account in Hoorn. The delivery was in June 1978.
