This is a brass variant of the nickel silver token no. 460.Olympia, a mecca of Belle Epoque nightlife and today an internationally renowned music hall, originally housed a restaurant with attractions in its huge basement in 1893, under the name Taverne de l'Olympia, which later became a renowned dance hall. From 1922 onwards, its manager, a native of the Centre region, tried to turn it into a regional ball for fellow Auvergnats, but failed to achieve the success he had hoped for. La Taverne quickly caught up with the times, organizing tea parties, lunches and dinner dances with tango orchestras, much to the delight of its elegant clientele.
