L'Hôtel-Taverne Fritz was opened by Georges Krieger in 1862 at 52, boulevard Anspach in Brussels.The renowned establishment offered French fries, waffles, doughnuts and confectionery.
In 1894, Greorges Krieger apprenticed a certain Léonidas Kestekidès, who later gave his name to the famous pralines.
