John Derbecker started in business as a general merchant in 1896. In 1910 he moved to Berlin (now Kitchener), where he operated a home furnishing store. He sold the store in Neustadt to his brother Conrad who ran the store until 1926. A third brother, Alfred, then took over and he ran the business until 1957 when his son George took over. John Derbecker's tokens were very likely used by Conrad and definitely by Alfred who counter stamped most of them with the letters "ALF".http://www.coinsandcanada.com/tokens-medals-merchant.php?cat=general-merchant-tokens&title=j.-derbecker-neustadt&id=1018
