An unusual token intended for use at the "Vollekskichen" (popular kitchen) in Luxembourg City, located at the time at Rue Beaumont, in the center of Luxembourg City.Weiller lists ten different tokens for the "Vollekskichen", the present type being the largest.
This token also exists with J-W hallmarks.

The Vollekskichen on Rue Beaumont was located in the former customs office. The Sisters of St. Elisabeth volunteered to prepare the meals, while the ladies of the town took care of distribution. The Vollekskichen played a major role during the First World War, when it was placed under the control of the City of Luxembourg. The Vollekskichen closed its doors in June 1919.
In 1933, the Vollekskichen reopened in the former seminary behind the cathedral, closing again around 1940.
In 1982, the Comité National de Défense Sociale, a pioneering association in Luxembourg's social sector, revived the Vollekskichen in Bonnevoie, a working-class district of Luxembourg City. The Vollekskichen still exists today, serving a large number of meals to the most needy every day.
