Comment
This is a coin from the Stolzenfelde Estate (Dominium Stolzenfelde) in Poland. Currency was issued by the estate owner (Konrad Sydow) from early 1900's to to provide a stable means of paying people who worked on the estate. It was a mirror of the Pfennig currency already in circulation (although sporadically available). The estate issued all denominations although only 4 of the 20 Pfennig coins are known about so far.
The Stolzenfelde Estate (Dominium Stolzenfelde) was owned by the prince in 1337, where it is first recorded in 'The Earth Books' and by 1724 it was owned by the von Sydow family, who owned all 1151 Hectares of it until is was gradually sold from 1930 onwards.
Stolzenfelde, or Stoltenvelde, are today a village know as Stołeczna, in northern Poland.
