The purchase of alcohol and cigarettes instead of food is to be avoided as well as "cashing" of professional gangs.
In the Catholic communities the "value mark 1 Euro" is now available. The "value 1 euro" is in the business card format, fits into every wallet and can only be used for material services (meals, washing, showers, laundry) at the Caritasverband. It is distributed through the municipal offices. The Caritasverband in offers in its advisory center for people with special social difficulties a day's stay for homeless men and women. Here, affected people have the possibility to wash and dry laundry, to get a meal and to shower. There the "value mark 1 euro" can be redeemed. "However, the value tag has a different purpose," says Caritas Director Hans-Werner Wolff: "It is also an offer to take on our advice and support in order to help those affected sustainably.
