The Clemanson brothers were iron merchants who lived on Place Confort in Lyon. They minted coins in imitation of the Monneron brothers. The results of this speculation were the same as those achieved by the Monneron brothers.

The decree of September 2, 1792 prohibited the minting of private coins and the marketing of trust coins.
