Minted in 1933, the value of the present token (1.25 Frangs) is the smallest in the series (1.25 - 8).

Until 1940, these tokens were used by pastry shop waiters to place orders at the counter, just like coffee tokens (Weiller Jetons luxembourgeois modernes p. 130).
