The history of the Enghien casino began a long time ago. It was the middle of the 19th century, and the fledgling spa was attracting more and more visitors. To keep them occupied, a wooden chalet was built where they could play boules and skittles - games far removed from those of today. The 1870 war changed the casino's fate. The Prussians dismantled the wooden chalet for heating. No more gambling in Enghien. At the beginning of the 20th century, a new boat-shaped casino was built, complete with ballroom and artificial caves, but it sank like the Titanic a few years later. It was succeeded by a new one, which served as the foundation for all those that followed.
At the end of the 80s, the Lucien Barrière group was awarded the casino concession. Thanks to the profits generated by the slot machines, the casino undertook the renovation of the entire resort: the casino, the theater, the hotels and created a new wellness center.
