In the Melgarejista period, the Army that supported the Revolution of December 28, 1864, which proclaimed President to General Melgarejo, was popularly called “December Loyal Army”, the same that quelled the revolts of: La Paz on March 27, Cochabamba on June 11 and Potosí on September 5. In his honor, a 1 Sol Coin Medal was minted, with this unique name.
