In March 1849, military movements broke out in Oruro, La Paz, Cochabamba and Potosí. In the middle of suspense and conspiracy, on October 6, 1849, President Belzu grants a general amnesty to all delinquent or guilty Bolivians who found inside or outside the country, due to pending causes or deceased.
The Department of Potosí, coined in honor of General Belzu a Medal Coin cut from 1 Sol.
