Reverse

Royal Arch Capstone bordered by a gavel and plumb, two of the working tools of Masonry.

Script: Latin

Lettering: H T W S S T K S

Translation: "Hiram, Tyrian, Widow's Son, Sent to King Solomon"

Comment

The listed year, 5861, is using the ceremonial Anno Lucis calendar which adds 4,000 years to the Gregorian calendar date. It represents the year the lodge was chartered, not the date of the token's minting.

The letters scratched into the center of the reverse are likely the celebratory mark of one who had just been admitted to the Royal Arch Lodge.
