Reverse
The reverse feature the GoldSilver shield, with a banner at the top inscribed with FREE MARKET & FREE PEOPLE. Below the banner is a sunburst. The Lydian lion and bull is holding a shield shaped as an arrowhead. Below that is a banner with the wealth cycle formula and the website address of GOLDSILVER.COM. The metal composition of the round is at the bottom with the website address of GOLSILVER.COM repeated to the right.

The Modern Ancients series was based on ancient Greek mythological characters. This series began in 2013 with the release of the Pegasus silver round. This was followed by the 2015 Lion & Bull, 2015 Nike, 2016 Ajax, 2017 Owl and the 2018 Athena. With the exception of the Pegasus which were issued annually, all the rest were offered for a limited period of 90 days.The first Athena coins were minted over 2,500 years ago in Athens of Greece, the influential city-state named for the goddess Athena. The obverse of the silver round pays homage to the original and beautifully re-imagines the Goddess Athena with shield raised, standing ready to protect the people of Athens. She is pictured in front of the Parthenon, the birthplace of democracy, ready to defend it from invaders. Her helmet is a traditional Hoplite helmet with an owl, a symbol of knowledge and the animal most often associated with the goddess. Athena battles for principles rather than passion or anger. Ancient Greeks revered her intelligence, knowing she would come to the aid of those deserving. That is why the word JUSTICE is inscribed on the front of the round, along with the 2018 year-date.
The intricately designed reverse features the iconic GoldSilver crest bearing the phrase FREE MARKET & FREE PEOPLE. A bull & a lion are near the center, paying homage to the first ever coins minted in Lydia in approximately 680BC. The Lydian Bull and Lion flank a crest divided into four quadrants, each with an image. The crest is capped by a sun, symbolizing enlightenment. Below the crest is the symbol for wealth cycles, which closes resembles the symbol for infinity, and in the scroll work is the formula revealed in the video series HIDDEN SECRETS OF MONEY by Mike Maloney.
The Modern Ancients 2018 Athena silver round is the fifth issue of the series and was issued for a limited period of 90 days. Mintage was extremely small and the round was sold encapsulated and presented in a 3x3 black box. Along with this one ounce version, GolSilver.com also released a ten ounce version which had a limited mintage of 250 rounds. This larger round had a unique serial number stamped on the reverse, and was presented in an elegant acrylic display case held together with four rare earth neodymium magnets. The Modern Ancients branded outer box was black and blue in colour.
