The Mythological Legends series was released by the American Medallion Corporation (AMC) during the 1980s. This was one of the many series minted by the company. Seven different designs have been identified, these being the Angel of the Gods, Eros, Hiawatha, Mermaids of the Sea, Vampire, Voodoo and Werewolf.In Greek mythology, Eros is the Greek God of love and sex. His Roman counterpart is Cupid. Eros is a primordial God in earlier accounts while later accounts describe him as one of the children of Aphrodite and Ares. He is also described along with some of his siblings as one of the Erotes, a group of winged Love Gods.
