Minted by the Singapore Mint and issued on behalf of the United Overseas Bank of Singapore. The gold bar feature the auspicious Chinese character (福) which translates to Fu or Blessings, signifying abundance and good fortune. The discontinued roundel logo of the Mint with CIS (Chartered Industries of Singapore) is on the obverse. The bar is presented in a red-colour card with the name of the bank on the front (first image) and the mintmark of the Singapore Mint on the back (second image). This is sealed and protected in a plastic sleeve. The SM mintmark was designed in 1976 and depicts that of a flying bird. It was designed by an industrial engineer Allan Yeo in the Mint's Process & Tool Design Section, who was inspired by the freedom associated with such creatures of nature. When the logo is turned upside down, it also depicts the letters CIS, the initials of its parent company, the Chartered Industries of Singapore.
