Prima Beer is an old lager that was brewed in Chicago. It was brewed at the Ernst Brothers' Independent Brewing Association, formerly located at 1440 N. Halsted on Goose Island, starting in 1890.Tokens were issued by distributors through out the Midwestern United States.
This token is not attributed to a specific location, but some evidence points to Janesville, Wisconsin. There was a Nu-Icy Bottling plant there and an Esser's Brewery. It also fits in the geographic footprint of Prima Brewing Co.'s distribution network.
