The "Aux Augustins" tavern is located in Liège at the corner of Rue des Augustins and Boulevard d'Avroy.
Rue des Augustins recalls the existence of a convent occupied by Augustinian friars located nearby. Here's what Wikipedia has to say about it: Couvent des Augustins de Liège (Liège), Augustinian brothers between 1503 and 1796, convent suppressed in 1796 (by the French Revolutionaries). In 1455, the Ermite Brothers of Saint Augustine, resident in the province of Cologne, sought to settle in Liège, but were unable to form an establishment. Later, with the help of a canon of Liège's Notre-Dame-et-Saint-Lambert cathedral, the Fathers of the province of France succeeded in establishing themselves here. The Augustinian convent was founded around 1503, opposite the Saint-Jacques-le-Mineur church in Liège, and completed in 1506.
