A large restaurant with reception rooms and gardens that hosted weddings and banquets, as well as a public ball on weekends. It was very popular before 1914 and between the wars.According to Lucien Lariche, author of the book "Les jetons de bal" (Ball Tokens), certain ball tokens with a face value were given against payment at the entrance to the ball and then accepted inside the establishment as payment for drinks.
