The Marly family, originally from Lozère, has been established in a café-hotel at 262 rue du Faubourg St-Martin in the 10th arrondissement since 1891. It was in 1911 that the son, a cabrette player, decided to turn it into a ball until the 1950s, after an interruption during the Second World War.
