People living in Damanhur and doing paid work for the community get paid in Crediti. The value of 1 Credito equals 1 Euro.The coins are used within the community as money, like in all the shops and restaurants. Paying in Crediti is encouraged within the community, at the art shop in the same building as the supermarket there was a sign (in 2018) that people paying in Crediti get a 10% discount.
The coin shown on the pictures has circulated, it comes out of the cash register of the community super market.
