The Boccans were used as festive currency for the ‘Grandson dans la rue 1976’ event. Coins of 1 and 5 Bocans were minted by Leclanché SA, in Yverdon-les-Bains. The Bocans were sold by the Banque Centrale, Rue des Remparts in Grandson. Companies that had a stall brought the Bocans back to the central bank for exchange. It was also possible to buy a small leather purse that was attached to the belt.
