This coin commemorates the 800th anniversary of the village Bemmel, located in the Over-Betuwe in the Netherlands. The tree symbolizes the rural character of the village. The pony is a reference to the famous local annual pony fair and the ducks in the water is a reference to the moat of the castle 'De Klinkelenburg'.
