This coin was minted by original Coin Press #1 which was in the Carson City Mint. The press is now in the Nevada State Museum in Carson City, which mints coins from that press. The coin is in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the first coins struck from the Carson City Mint in 1870. Coin comes in capsule with information on the press and coin and numbered from the maximum mintage of 3,000.
