Comment

The Hall and Holtz bakery was established at the beginning of the 20th century on the corner of Nanking and Szechuan roads in Shanghai. The store later developed into a large department store specializing in imported western goods. The building became a Shanghai landmark and was demolished in 1936. The current Liza Hardoon Office Building was erected in its place.
