1914 Montana Gold 1/2, Ex: Hart's Coins of the West. A well struck and pristine Superb Gem. The field near the Indian is heavily clashed, as coined. The maker, likely a California jewelry firm, produced Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington varieties in gold dollar size and its half and quarter fractions.
